Equipment distribution for the dairy cooperatives in Akkar

On October 27, 2020 the Lebanese team, together with Akkar Regional Agricultural Services distributed equipments to the dairy cooperatives targeted by the project in Akkar Governorate. 

At the presence of the head of the Agricultural Services Department, two cooperatives – the Association of Cooperatives for Animal Resource Development in Hekr el Daher and the Association of Cooperatives for Developement and Animal Production  in Andit – received milking machines  and equipment for milk processing, including fridges, kichk drier and mill, sealing machine, milk separator, milk shakers.

According to the coordinator in Lebanon, Rola Al Achi, this kind of support from GEMAISA is an important step forward towards increasing the cooperatives’ capacity to process and market dairy products.
