Small Businesses Management Skills Training in Palestine

The GEMAISA Palestine team organized, in collaboration with the Palestinian Businesswomen’s Association – ASALA, a training on “Small Businesses Management Skills” that took place in October 2020 in the three project’ target governorates : Nablus, Jerusalem and Hebron.

The training focused on the following topics:

• Marketing principles and steps for creation and development of small businesses;
• Business management, budgeting, marketing, pricing different types of bank accounts and how to manage savings;
• How to identify weaknesses in a business project and how to address them in the best way;
• Raise awareness on gender and social issues and how they affect small business management.

The main objective of the training was to make women increasingly aware of their potential and provide them with theoretical and practical tools to support them in the process toward the creation of their business. The majority of women that attended the training expressed their need for aid and guidance in order to be able to start and retain a business project in a context which is usually male-dominated and affected by poverty and lack of resources.
