Training courses on “ Soft skills and promotion of self-confidence and mutual trust” and “enhancement of the governance of existing cooperatives and women associations”

The Training courses on “Soft skills and promotion of self-confidence and mutual trust” and “enhancement of the governance of existing cooperatives and women associations” took place in  November and December 2020 in Palestine.

The two trainings, organized by Ministry of Agriculture of Palestine with the collaboration of The Palestinian Businesswomen’s Association- ASALA, involved 54 rural women from Jerusalem, Hebron and Nablus areas, for a total duration of six days.

The targeted participants were women entrepreneurs willing to further develop their existing business ideas, workers and members of associations / cooperatives, women entrepreneurs with an established business. 

The training sessions aimed at the following objectives:

  • Training course onSoft skills and promotion of self-confidence and mutual trust”:
  • Enhancing participants’ communication and leadership skills;
  • Promoting concepts of teamwork, the importance of working with a team, team conflict management, decision-making rules, evaluation of the team;
  • Strengthening of effective communication strategies among participants and enhanced participants’ interpersonal skills and verbal communication with others;
  • The importance of setting an effective plan.
  • Training course onenhancement of the governance of existing cooperatives and women associations”:
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of the associations as well as challenges and obstacles to cooperative work;
  • increase the knowledge on mechanisms and administrative procedures for the registration of a cooperative business, 
  • provide notions on management and structure of cooperatives and associations;
  • enabling participants to develop teamwork schemes and motivate them with the help of success stories.
