Participation to the “Garage Souk” event

12 cooperatives from Baalbak Hermel and two cooperatives from Akkar, beneficiaries of GEMAISA Project, took part in the event “Garage Souk”, held in Beirut from 18 to 23 December 2020 and organized in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture and the Directorate of Cooperatives., 

This initiative aimed at increasing marketing opportunities, during the holyday season, of handmade products and crafts, including a huge variety of high-quality food products as those produced by GEMAISA cooperatives.

Thanks to this activity, these cooperatives had the occasion to reach more buyers and make profit, increase their knowledge on the local market, learn from other cooperatives about food products’ marketing and develop ideas for future exhibitions and events. 

GEMAISA project is increasingly supporting the need expressed by the target cooperatives and female farmers who requested to be involved in similar events in order to expand their market.
