Training women on gender-based violence, heritage and wage in Abdeh, Akkar, Lebanon

A training focusing on gender-based violence, heritage and wage aimed at 25 women members of dairy cooperatives was realized at the Regional Agricultural Services premises in Abdeh, Akkar Governorate, on 24 June 2020. The training has been organized in collaboration with the Directorate for Agricultural Cooperatives, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the NGO RDFL (The Lebanese Democratic Women’s Gathering) and the puppet company “Les Amis des Marionettes”. The training aimed at increasing women’s knowledge on three relevant issues that have been at the forefront of public debate on women’s rights in Lebanon for years, that is:
– gender-based violence, how to recognize it and how to address it;
– wage differences between men and women
– women’s heritage rights
