TRAINING COURSE ON GOVERNANCE

The training course on governancetook place in February 2021 at the National Institute of Marine Sciences and Technology (INSTM) – centre of Zarzis, Tunisia.

The three-day training, organized by the Regional Commissariat for Agricultural Development of Médenine (CRDA Médenine), involved 16 participants – both women and men – from various Agriculture and Fisheries Development Groups (GDAP), different departments of CRDA Médenine, the Interprofessional Group of Fishery Products (GIPP) and the Vocational Training Centre for Fisheries of Zarzis. 

The course aimed at:

• promoting transparency within the GDAP between board and members
• implementing principles of governance in GDAP

Improving the status of women in the   GDAP The need of a training on these topics emerged during the problem analysis phases, and by its implementation, the desired results were achieved. The heterogeneity of the training group gave participants the opportunity to discuss their experiences and interact with each other.
